Today it’s a special day, January 11, 2006 I entranced the Unite States through the International Airport from Houston Texas where they gave me an Alien number for my Residence Card. Two hours later I followed my way with Continental Airlines to San Francisco where my Lover / wife was waiting.
The big question was of course, can I adapt and integrate in California or do I take the easy way out and go back to my home country The Netherlands.
There where many ups and downs where I thought sometimes “WTF do I life still here”, but the climate and the people made me stay.
My knowledge and commonsense in the electrical field helped me a lot and even started my own business out of frustration. What the future brings I don’t know but till now I enjoy my days with installing EV Charging Stations for Electric cars. California is the leader in new technology and it’s nice to thrive on this.
In the meantime, I became an US Citizen and speak political correct.
